The Photographer:

I guess that you’ve already gathered what my name is?!…. No?…. Well it’s Dan, I was born on the 4th of July 1989 in Cambridge (U.K).

After spending my childhood years in Cambridge I moved down south to Dorset and have been here since.

I first noticed my passion for photography after doing a photography course in my school years but I only decided to bring photography into my life in 2010 when my fiancé bought me my first camera, And now I’m hooked!.

My plans for the future are focused on photography, hopefully one day I can make a living from it!

So I’m fairly new to the scene but feel I’ve learnt so much already and am raging with enthusiasm to grow, learn and experience new opportunity’s that become available.

Thanks for checking me out!

Dan

The Camera:

My first DSLR camera was a Canon 1000D which has taught me so much ( Thanks Lou! ) but now I have a Canon 7D and I’ve bought some equipment to help me capture my photo’s, I’m using the Canon 7D more as this benefits me allot more than the 1000D, editing and printing my images is far better.

I’ve got a few lens’s that make all the difference when taking photos, I have a standard Canon 18-55 mm, Canon 18-135, Canon 50mm f/1.4 USM and a Sigma 70-300 APO DG for some cool zoomage!

Also if you own a DSLR you MUST have a Tripod! :)

The Images:

A good 95% of my pictures will go through computer software called Adobe Photoshop, Photoshop is a graphics editing program that enables you to do almost anything you want to your photo’s from minor re-touches to complete manipulation.

I’ve been using Photoshop for a good number of years now so have gained some knowledge about it!

Although I edit  my pictures most of the time I’ edit the photograph to make it look the way I saw the scene myself, For example when I see an image that’s been took normally I see bland colours and not what the human eye saw when taking the photo. Check out Trey Ratcliff’s explanation on this for it to make more sense.

When I’m editing my photo’s I sometimes spend up to 2 hours on one image until I feel happy with it…Yeah, just a bit of a perfectionist.
