Photography tip #1   22/02/011

If your off to shoot a special event or anything that is important and you need to get good shots It would be wise to take your photo’s in RAW format other than JPEG.

Or like me, Have it selected to save in RAW + JPEG.

Click here to understand RAW format.

If your camera can support it you should have this selected as it can really help you out in some ‘tricky’ situations, For example…

You capture a ‘spare of the moment’ picture but its really under or over exposed and you cant seem to ‘repair’ the image because it gets too ‘pix-elated’ and looses allot of detail, With RAW it will enable you to adjust not only the exposure but almost every other aspect of the image without loosing any quality or producing noise.

To select this option on a Canon simply press Menu, navigate to the Quality option then select RAW.

Thanks

Dan!
