8 Fantastic Wedding Moments

Getting ready with the girls
I always bring a bottle of prosecco with me because…well, why not right!? 🙂
Seeing your bridesmaids all dressed, bouquets in hand, and ready to see you is a lovely memory, then you have the father/mother of the bride to come see you for the first time which gets emotional.
Not a dry eye in the room including me! Minni was attached to Jason all day so she found it hard to let him have his first dance with his gorgeous wife Claire.
Jason promised Minni he would have a special dance with her after… as you can see she was over the moon and besotted with her daddy.
That first look
I can see the joy & proudness pour out from the groom/brides face when they take that first look at each other.
Just one of the many reasons why I love photographing weddings.
From embarrassing slideshows to personalised flash mob rap songs to heartfelt poems, it’s a wonderful part of the wedding.
On one wedding the couple (Mr & Mrs Sanders) were engaged for a long time so when the grooms best man (his son) stood up to do his speech he’d placed powder in-between the paper to make it looks like dust coming off! Genius and had everyone in stitches.
Obviously, not all weddings have/need large venues but it is nice to have space as it opens up more creative options from a photographers perspective with the added bonus for your guest’s to explore during your couples shoot.
A few of my personal favourites are Radipole Manor, Pennsylvania Castle, Kingston Maurward, Symondsbury Tithe Barn, Newly refurbished Riviera Hotel, Hotel Rembrandt, Portland Castle, Haven Hotel and Minterne House is a real gem!

Entertainment (other than a DJ/Band)
If you are worried about your budget then simply budget better 🙂 if only it was that easy right?!
I know it’s not but have a serious think about what you have included in your budget – can you swap something out for entertainment that will 100% make your guests talk about for the rest of the night?
Or just cut down on a couple things, trust me it WILL be worth it.
Entertainment to think of: Magicians (my fav), garden games, celebrity look-a-likes, photobooths, singing waiters, casino tables, children entertainers or even fireworks if your feeling extra special. Selected images below are from Magician Chris Piercy who I recommend 100%.
It’s a long day, you’ll be speaking to so many people so chances are you won’t get to just chill out, take it all in and have a chat yourselves.
This makes the perfect opportunity to grab a few lovely photo’s with just the both of you.
Going the extra mile
From a courtesy call before I arrive in the morning to check if the girls need anything to helping granny up the stairs or reminding the bridesmaids to not spray their perfume too close to the dress, I love to help out wherever I can.
