Hey everyone!

Let’s talk about something that’s been on my mind for a while—editing!

Specifically, when it comes to wedding photography, would you prefer a version with distracting elements (like fire exit signs, extinguishers, or other visual clutter) removed, or are you not too fussed? 🤔

Over the years in the wedding industry, I’ve received mixed feedback when it comes to editing.

Honestly, I’m my own worst critic! I’ll admit I probably spend way too much time perfecting those once-in-a-lifetime memories.

But for me, it’s about delivering something I’d be thrilled to receive myself.

I find it so rewarding to submit images where 99% of my couples wouldn’t even notice the little details I’ve “corrected”.

Things like editing out a stray sign or tidying up a busy background—those are the things that can make an image feel timeless and polished.

It’s funny, isn’t it? The fact that no one notices what I’ve done actually makes me happy because it shows I’ve done a great job. 😂✨

But here’s where I’m curious—would you appreciate the extra time and care spent on editing your photos, or are you more of a “what you see is what you get” type of person?

I totally get that it might fall into the

“I wouldn’t have noticed if you didn’t show me” camp.

But at the same time, I want every couple to look back on their photos and feel they’re as perfect as the day itself.

What are your thoughts? Do those tiny tweaks matter to you, or do you prefer a more natural, unedited vibe?

"When the staff are just as invested in the day as the couple, it transforms a beautiful wedding into an unforgettable experience."

Why the Venue Staff Matter

In my experience, no matter how beautiful a venue may be, it’s the people running it that can truly elevate the day.

Great staff take pressure off the couple, guide the flow of the event, and even help us suppliers feel like a valued part of the team.

That sense of shared purpose makes a huge difference – from keeping timelines smooth to creating a relaxed, welcoming vibe that shines through in every photo.

Whether it’s a coordinator checking in with the couple, a bartender making everyone smile, or a team member making sure suppliers are looked after with a coffee (always appreciated!), it all adds up to something pretty magical.
